Qvantum

Brand Positioning & Campaign

Arctic Proof

The Brief

Qvantum is a Swedish heat pump manufacturer new to the UK.

Its UK customers span developers, engineers and housing associations, but this campaign was specifically aimed at MEP consultants at London’s leading engineering practices – the people responsible for specifying the systems that ultimately go into new-build developments.

For these specifiers, choosing a heat pump isn't simply a purchasing decision. It's a decision they remain accountable for long after the building is complete.

The challenge, then, was to give this sceptical, technically minded audience a reason to believe in Qvantum's performance without relying on another set of controlled tests.

Qvantum needed to demonstrate its credentials in a way that felt tangible and credible – turning its Scandinavian heritage from a brand story into a genuine proof point.

They don't want to be told it performs well in a lab. They want to know it will perform in the real world, under real conditions, because specifying a brand is a decision they're accountable for for years.

The Response

Qvantum didn't need new proof invented for the UK. It needed an existing proof nobody had surfaced yet.

Rather than commission fresh testing, we dug into Qvantum's company history and its network of installations worldwide - and found the proof already sitting in the field: live, occupied installations operating through genuinely extreme Scandinavian winters, inside the Arctic Circle.

Monitored, unfiltered performance data from one such installation showed an external ambient temperature of -24°C in January 2026, with the property held at a steady +21°C internally, unaided.

Extreme cold is the harder condition for a heat pump to work in, not the easier one - so this is a performance floor for the technology, not a ceiling, which makes London's comparatively mild, drizzly conditions the easy case by direct comparison.

This birthed the idea of Qvantum being ‘Arctic Proof’.

We had the core idea, we now just needed to communicate it in an unmissable way.

Rather than defaulting to digital and social, we wanted to communicate this performance truth in a highly visible and public way, one to earn trust, and two to reach our sceptical engineering audience as they commuted into the London HQs.
